So when you are still at the beginning stage of your garden, do not forget about the water system. If you have a wide lawn, then you can use sprinklers which you can manually program so that it automatically turns on at particular time.

Sprinklers spray water in various distances. It is one of the best ways to water your lawn. Remember that you have to water the plants in the garden to keep them green and alive. You wouldn't want the plants to get all wilted and dead now do you?

3. Plants grow on soil but not all types of soil are fit for gardening. Before you start gardening, it would be good if you do some research about plants and the type of soil they thrive in. Some plants grow better when planted on sandy soil; others grow well on loam soil which is the type of soil that is mostly used in gardens.

A garden won't be a garden without the soil because this is where you put all the plants be it a tree or a shrub. Using the right type of soil will surely help your garden flourish.

Different plants have different lighting needs. Again, this is where research comes in. It is advisable for you to familiarize yourself in terms of which types of plants need a lot of sun and which type has to be placed on a rather shady area. In this way, you can arrange your plants in such a way to meet their lighting needs. The light also helps your garden thrive and the flowers to bloom.

5. Fertilizer. You can always aid your plants' growth by adding fertilizers. These fertilizers provide nutrients that your plants need in order to grow, bear fruit or bloom. Fertilizers can be sprayed or applied at the bottom. Be careful though when using fertilizers; only use the specified amount. Read the instructions before you use it.
