Three Things Gardeners Must Always Do When Tending Their Gardens
From the words of Alex Hitchens, there are basic principles for the things that we do. Although its not as dramatic as no matter how, no matter who, no matter what, and no matter when, there are definitely a couple of things we need to do to make sure our garden stays as beautiful as we wish for them to be.
Just like every time we get ready for work, we make sure that our hair is combed, our nails clean, our breath fresh, teeth clean, and of course our outfit squeaky clean and ready to impress. Our gardens, whether big or small, could definitely use a whole lot of tender loving care by none other than its owner – you. So what's an owner to do to make sure that gardens remain lovely and lively?
1. Keep that grass trimmed and clean looking.
It is just like a beard when you let it grow unchecked. It is going to be messy, long and itchy. It is surprising how hair can be so much like grass, right? When left unchecked, its growth that is, uncut grass could make your garden look a little bit messy since grass in the garden isn't really intended to grow as long as it possibly can.
So how does one keep grass trimmed and clean looking? If you are willing to do some manual labor every now and then, pull out that good old lawn mower that you have in the garage or in the tool shed and start mowing that lawn tiger. If you have the cash to spare though and if you have more important matters to attend to, you can avail the services of landscaping companies to make sure your grass and everything else in your garden would be in tip top shape. All of this of course is done at a specific price that may or may not be specified in advance by the landscaping company.
2. Check if there are any unwanted guests in the garden.
Sometimes, even if we try our best to keep our garden as healthy as possible, there are things like pests and other insects that jeopardize all the hard work that we have done. It is best that we check several parts of our gardens in case there are pests that eat up our flowers, grass and everything else we have worked hard for. For one thing, this is also potentially dangerous to humans. Insects like wasps, mites and several others can be something that could also bother us.
3. Put on some insect repellent.
Being around plants and flowers for a long time might mean that you are exposed to several insects that might end up biting or stinging you. Put on your skin some insect repellent so you don't have to worry about being stung or bitten in your body. It's just best to make sure that you do whatever you can to avoid being bitten by insects. Nobody likes having insect bites on their skin, right?
