When the human body is healthy, it means that the body and every parts, organ, system, and mechanism of the body are functioning properly – everything is normal and well. This drug is not exactly a treatment that can help treat or cure an ailment or disease; the drug instead works as an assistive medication that helps in draining fluid buildup in the body – an area that is supposed to be the function of the lymphatic system. Since edema and fluid buildup can come from varying medical or physical factors, using furosemide 40 mg will not treat the cause of the water retention, but it instead will assist in the draining of the excess water the lymphatic system is unable to flush out of the body.
